Speed
the Light is one of the most unique missions financial programs that
exists today. It provides all sorts of transport and communication
devices for missionaries in the field. It is also a missions awareness
and development tool for youth and senior pastors to develop passion in
their people toward giving. It teaches students and adults to
sacrificially give so that others can receive.

STL -
ALL WILL DRIVE
Challenge
They were willing to walk so a missionary wouldn’t have to. Isn’t it time we set the pace for our students?
Since 1944, Speed the Light has faithfully supplied essential transportation and creative communication equipment to see souls saved and lives changed around the world through our missionaries.
However, over the past few years STL giving has steadily declined. In 2007, total giving fell below $10 million for the first time in 10 years. This decline is critically impacting the essential transportation needs of our missionaries. Some missionaries have no wheels to meet their transportation needs. Some have taken out loans for a vehicle until a supply is provided for their mission.
We aim to reverse this trend and are calling for the youth leaders of America to lead the way of change!
As leaders, are you committed to take necessary steps so that ALL WILL DRIVE — in 2008 and beyond?
The Purpose
1.To
immediately respond to and alleviate the shortage of
essential transportation on the mission field, speeding the
supply of STL vehicles to missionaries in waiting.
2.To
inspire at least 1,000 youth leaders to take extraordinary
steps together — each committing to walk or run 26 miles for
Speed the Light. Corporately, the distance traveled
represents the circumference of the Earth, so that ALL
[missionaries] WILL DRIVE wherever they are stationed.
3.Our
goal to challenge 100 people in Nomo to run or walk 26 miles
in one day or week.
4.See
if you can beat the District Youth Director.
5.You
must raise $1000 in sponsorships to participate.
