Christian Education
Northern Student Ministries exists to create lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. More than the transference of information, Northern Missouri Christian Education is interested in information that causes transformation. There are a number of different categories of discipleship or "spiritual growth." These include but are not limited to evangelism, discipleship, Christian Education, teaching, sanctification, and spiritual development. Truly, the church is "semper reformanda" -always in reformation.
In a very true sense, Christian Education in Northern Missouri can encompass in some sense Bible Studies, Sunday School classes, seminary or Bible courses such as Berean. It also includes events such as the District School of Ministry, 7/11 Espresso, and Teacher Enrichment Clinics.

The Education piece of Nomo Student Ministries exists to equip local churches by providing the following events, resources, and seminars:
Elevate: Sunday School Teacher Enrichment Seminar: In this event, one of the directors or representatives comes and hosts an event in your church that reconnects Sunday School Teachers to the joy of teaching the Scriptures. The event is part informational and part inspirational. Includes multimedia, videos, small group discussions and world class focus on how to engage a student and make the learning experience better in a Sunday School Ministry.
National Teacher Enrichment Clinic: Similar to the Local Teachers Enrichment Seminar, the clinic is taught by a national appointed Sunday School Coordinator. These events usually include several churches in an area. These are usually focused on the Book of the Year such as "Student Focused Learning," or "Make a Difference Be a Teacher."
Pastoral Refreshment Courses: One-on-one or in a group. Specialization courses for a minister or group of ministers looking to review subject matter or get a fresh taste of material that they've wanted to study. In this format, the Education Director, Dave Pafford will tailor fit material for your specific area of interest. You will select two or three days when you and your team can have a couple of hours to listen to live lecture style where you can ask questions and take notes. You are welcome to use anything to enhance your own ministry.
Specific courses include:New Testament Greek Textual Criticism, American Church History, Medieval and Reformation History, Early Church History, Systematic Theology and Anthropology, Ecclesiology, Eschatology, Theology and Film, Anglo-American Postmodernity, Evangelizing Nominal Christians or a scholarly look at a specific biblical book. Courses are intensive and cover difficult readings and jargon.
