Morris
always knew, from a young age, that God would one day
call him into full-time ministry. That call came after
marriage, to Charlane Ruth (Virgin) in 1964 and two
wonderful children, Bryan Dean Hunt and Teresa Lynn
(Hunt) Beatty.
Morris graduated from Central Bible College,
Springfield, MO, in 1974 with a B.A. in Bible. He began
his pastoral ministry in 1974 as Senior Pastor of
Westside Assembly of God in Sedalia, MO. After serving
there for 2 years, he accepted the Senior Pastor
position of First Assembly of God in St. James, MO. In
1979, the family moved to Barnhart-Imperial, MO ,
serving Parkton Assembly of God as Senior Pastor for
eight years. After taking a two year sabbatical, Morris
and Charlane planted a new church for the Northern
Missouri District in St. Charles, MO. For ten years, the
Hunts pastored Calvary Temple and led the church through
a building program.
In 1999, the 35th District Council elected Morris as
District Secretary-Treasurer. He was re-elected to a
four-year term at the 38th District Council and most
recently, re-elected to a four year term at the 42nd
District Council.
In His spare time, Morris enjoys golfing, fishing, and
hunting and is an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.
